Solstizio is a global artistic action which has the structure of a social network from which different ways of observation and investigation of our surrounding realities spread around. Solstizio is a space open for everyone who collaborates, cooperates and interacts. It is a neo-dimensional experience in the sense that it proposes a linking space among disciplines, methods, languages and media with the purpose of developing project which deal with the main issues of the global world such as emigrations, economic and cultural conflicts, the safeguard of the water resources, environmental problems and the connection of different territories through the use of the new media applied to different artistic expression forms. Solstizio was born in 2008 from an idea of Giuseppe Stampone who integrates his works and his artistic experimentation with shared projects with didactical and socio-environmental purposes. Solstizio includes the collaboration of Maria Crispal, responsible for communication and awareness projects thanks to her performances and body expression workshops; Emidio Sciannella, who coordinates didactical events and general activities and develops social actions though the music language; and Davide Sottanelli who contributes in visual laboratories with his illustrations and animation videos. Solstizio relies also on the collaboration with professors, artists, critics, contemporary art curators, architects, sociologists, pedagogues, anthropologists, social operators and on the support of public and private corporations, NGOs, Universities and associations.
